Switching from GameChanger

Before you start

1. Create a free coach account. A single team does not need an organization.
2. Create your team. You can import into the team Roster pool first, or into a season roster to also activate players for that season.
3. Use the same team name GameChanger prints on the org schedule so home and away resolve correctly.
4. Have GameChanger open on another tab or phone so you can copy the Team tab or download a CSV.

1. Bring your roster

GameChanger does not offer an official roster CSV. Paste the Team tab, or use a season stats export as a player list. Open the team Roster or a season roster and choose Import.

Accepted Team tab lines:

1. In GameChanger, open the Team tab and copy the player list.
2. In DugoutDesk, open the team Roster (or a season roster) and choose Import.
3. Pick GameChanger paste, or leave auto-detect on.
4. Preview first name, last name, and jersey. Skip anyone you do not want.
5. Confirm. Team Roster import adds players to the pool; season import also activates them for that season.

Or upload a stats CSV

Staff can export from GameChanger Stats → Export Stats. We only read player names and jersey numbers — not batting or pitching lines. Choose GameChanger stats CSV, or let auto-detect pick it from columns like AVG, OBP, or AB.

GameChanger paste usually has no parent emails. After import, add emails on player profiles or in team settings if you want invite drafts. Nothing is sent until you review those drafts.

2. Bring your schedule

Org admins can export GameChanger’s bulk schedule CSV. Team calendar exports are weaker, so leftover games are easier to add by hand.

1. Export the org bulk schedule from GameChanger (US dates and AM/PM times).
2. In DugoutDesk, open the season schedule and choose Import schedule.
3. Upload or paste the CSV. We match your team name to the home and away columns to set opponent and home or away.
4. Use TBD if an opponent is still unknown.

Expected columns: date, time, home, away, location, duration. If a row does not include your team name, we skip it. Duration is ignored. Date-only rows land as time TBD.

3. Game day: scan their lineup QR

When the other team still uses GameChanger, scan or paste their pregame lineup QR on the DugoutDesk game page. Review batting order, jerseys, and positions, then save.

• The snapshot applies to this game only. It does not add those players to your roster.
• QR decode is free on web and mobile. You can also paste the QR text if the camera cannot read it.
• A photo of a paper card or a GameChanger-style screenshot is a separate coach premium scan. Photos are not stored.

What does not come over

• Historical GameChanger stats, season totals, or play-by-play
• Player photos
• Ongoing sync — changes in GameChanger after import stay in GameChanger
• Private GameChanger logins or undocumented APIs

You start a fresh stat book in DugoutDesk. Families can still download a free player archive later if they move again.

After you import

• Invite families from team settings. Parents get box scores, schedule, RSVP, and readable player summaries.
• Set batting order and defense. Pitch-by-pitch live scoring is free; hit spray is coach premium.
• Share the box score after the game. The same numbers feed coach dashboards and the family portal.
